Come prepared to #ElevateYourFuture by participating in this year’s Tennessee DECA/FBLA Fall Leadership Camp on September 8-10, 2017 at Camp Widjiwagan in Antioch, Tennessee. Members from DECA and FBLA will discover leadership in new and exciting ways. All attendees will stay in cabins, furnished with bunk beds for the students and twin beds for the advisors. Camp will start at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 8 and will end by 9 a.m. on Sunday, September 10. Registration is limited to the first 150 registered attendees. ​

Keenan Carter developed a passion for helping and serving others at an early age. As an eager freshman, he became involved and served as an officer in several organizations at his local high school. However, his most successful achievements are with FBLA.

​With his leadership, Keenan has increased his local chapter membership from 78 members his freshman year to 209 members during his junior year. He is one of the top membership recruiters for his local and state chapters. Keenan is ready to expand his leadership even further by serving as the Southern Region Vice President.

Registration Fees

Thursday early arrival: 
$160.00 per person (includes lodging Thursday night and breakfast Friday morning)
             -Chapters that come on Thursday will be responsible for their own dinner.

             -Thursday arrival is strongly encouraged for additional chapter planning time.
             -A campfire will be available for light grilling if requested. <Bring Your Own Food>
             -Arrivals may begin at 5:00 p.m. CDT.

All payments are due by Thursday, August 31, 2017. All checks should be made payable to Tennessee FBLA.

Talent Showcase Information

We will have a talent showcase on Saturday night. Please bring any props and music that will be needed to showcase your talent. Sign-ups will be available during registration on Friday. Practice will be held on Friday night. Awards will be given for “Best of Show” and “Most Entertaining.”

Talent Showcase Guidelines:
  • Anyone attending the camp is eligible to participate in the talent showcase. (Advisors are welcome to participate.)
  • Participants must sign-up for the talent showcase during onsite camp registration. Participants will be asked for the lyrics to all songs, whether they are to be performed or are supporting elements of the performance. Only songs with clean, powerful, and positive messages will be allowed at the talent showcase. 
  • Song lyrics/dances must not be offensive or crude.
  • Performances may not exceed five minutes.
  • Talents will be reviewed on Friday night.  You must attend this session to participate in the show on Saturday night. 
  • Talents must be performed in an appropriate manner suitable for a young businessman or businesswoman.
  • The camp dress code must be followed during the talent showcase.

  • NO backless, see-through, tight-fitting, spaghetti straps, strapless, extremely short, or low cut tops, dresses, skirts or pants
  • NO two-piece swimsuits
  • NO visible foundation garments
  • NO shirts with inappropriate sayings
  • NO spandex or midriff tops
  • NO bare feet
